Costa del Soul

Hola! Buenas tardes
Well, we’re back in good old Blighty and the tan’s beginning to fade. Pontevedra was brilliant. Apart from performing our accoustic set (in a beautiful old town square surrounded by orange trees and the setting sun) we sat around for the whole trip eating tapas and drinking beer, soaking up the Spanish sunshine. It was idyllic, and really untouched without a MacDonalds in sight. Needless to say we stood out like four sore thumbs with our Irish tans and and our Brits Abroad accents ordering UNA VINO BLANCO PER FAVOR. We finally met up with Cooper, who are a rather good little beat combo from the Elefant stables. They were ace, as were Koacha from France. Vincent the singer is a complete nut-job and when he isn’t crowd surfing or nose-diving off the drum kit he’s out in the audience shaking everyone’s hand while the rest of the band are ad-libbing on stage. Amazing!
It won’t be long before we’re back so Andrew and I are in competitive moods to see who can learn Spanish in a month. Hmmm… he’s already better than me. He has all the moves.
Anyways, Malc’s come back a married man, which means we need to get on and put in some practice as it’s now less than a month before we’re back on the road. Woohoo!
Will let you know how the Spanish is going…
Mi aerodeslizador está lleno de anguilas. Si?
Hasta luego,

Hmm… if you want to win the “learning spanish” competition, you should start saying either “UN VINO BLANCO POR FAVOR” or “UNA COPA DE VINO BLANCO POR FAVOR” instead of “una vino blanco per favor”…
Anyway, I hope you have a great tour, and I wish someday I’ll see you perform. I’d love to hear your voice live.
PS1: Deberías poner más cuidado en donde guardas tu aerodeslizador…
PS2: Sorry for any spelling mistakes, spanish is my first language.
